Clubhouse News

The Club has changed to a new point of sale system (POS) and accounting package in 2010. This POS system is called TEE-On, this change should make the club more efficient and thus save the  club some money. TEE-ON will take care of account charges, online booking of tee times and handicaps. To explain everything could take some time therefore we will try to explain the system in a question/answer format.

Q1    Where are the CHITS?

A1     We will no longer have chits and like most restaurants your bills will be given to you and you have the opportunity to keep a copy and sign a copy for office use, pretty much as in the past with chits but less cumbersome.

Q2    What about monthly charges and statements?

A2    Your charges remain the same at $30 per month per adult member, however, you will be able to view your statements online (under reports on our website  through TEE-ON) We will update your accounts from the office and 5 days before month end you can check to see how much is left to spend on your monthly account. The club/office will not be printing off and mailing out monthly statements after the month of May. Your statements can be viewed under REPORTS again through your TEE-ON account. Members who do not have access to a computer may come to the office and request a printed statement. Please allow the staff a reasonable amount of time to process your request.

Q3      Whatever happened to my account number and what is” username” and ”password”?
A.    Your account number is still the same and should be given to wait staff when placing an order, as usual, along with your last name. TEE-ON  has specific usernames and they all start with HEND####.  This allows the system to recognize you as a Henderson member with seven day advance booking privileges.  Once you have been given your user name and temporary password (please change it immediately the first time you log in to avoid others viewing your personal account information.)
B.    It is important to look into MY ACCOUNT in Tee-On and set your playing partners, this will save you having to type their names in when you book tee times as a group and when booking multiple tee times.  Also please highlight the email confirmation so that an email will be sent to you when your ”team” booker puts your name on the tee sheet.  This helps you to remember to call the pro shop to cancel your spot, if you are unable to make your tee time.   We will be asking for you to stop by the office, as well so that we can capture a photo of you for staff recognition and ease your mind of items going on to your account in error. Your bookings also can be viewed under your account (BOOKINGS)

Q4    How does this online booking work for tee times; and what if I just want to keep phoning in?

A4    First let us explain that the members have booking privileges of 7 days in advance; whereas the public has 5 days advance booking privileges.  We will however continue to do ballots on weekends for the months of May and June. Saturdays’ ballot will be done on Saturday night allowing you to view your tee time Sunday mornings and Sundays’ ballot will be done on Sunday night allowing you to view your tee time Monday morning.  For those of us who want to continue phoning in you can continue to do so.  Online booking will only be available at the same time as the pro shop’s hour of operations i.e. let us say today is Friday August 6 and you want to book for Friday August 13 and the pro shop opens up at 7:00 a.m. you cannot go online at 6:00 a.m. Friday August 6 and book your tee time, you must wait until 7:00 am.
The online procedures are quite simple.  After you have obtained your username and temporary passwords you then go to our website www.hendersonlakegolf.com and you will see a TEE-ON application where you will enter your username and password and the system will direct you accordingly. Remember to change your password. We would hope that you leave your USERNAME the same so that it would be easier for the office/pro-shop to look up your name if you forget your password.  Be careful not to give out your username and password as others will then be able to view your account statements.

Q5    What about the handicap procedures?
A5    We will continue to put your scores into the Tee-On system.  To obtain your handicap you can do so under the HANDICAP department of Tee-On, once you have logged on. You can also view other handicaps as well under the same handicap section.
In summary please stop by the office and/or pro-shop to obtain your username and password. We can demonstrate to you on how TEE-ON works. If the office or pro-shop is too busy you can also go through the tutorials online as well and if you have problems after the tutorials please ask me and I will be happy to spend some time with you to gain your confidence with the TEE-ON system. We ask for everyone’s  patience this year, and we are pretty confident that at this time next year we will be saying to ourselves,” wow is this ever easy and I am happy to book online and I get access to my statements quicker now too”
On a lighter side “it takes 17 muscles to smile, 43 to frown”.

Thank-you,
Michael Plouffe
